Technical Support Engineer Permanent

Our client is an Austrian technology company that specialises in welding technology, photovoltaics and battery charging technology.

They have a real focus on having future generations in mind and building long lasting relationships with their customers.

As a Technical support engineer, you will be responsible for the repairs of welding equipment and will often be required to travel weekly and occasionally overseas for business and trainings.

What will the Technical Support Engineer be doing?

-They will repair welding equipment, including inverters torches, Hose packs, an automated system

-They will provide excellent support to customers and help with troubleshooting

-Providing service and collaboration of welding equipment.

-Perform safety testing and weld testing after repair and service.

-Provide Technical support for the introduction of new products systems and processes into the market.

– Be able to give excellent email and telephone support for technical and welding queries and problems.

-They will provide pre-sales in after sales support to the sales team and customers.

What skills you must have as a Tech support Engineer

-You must be sales minded and have excellent customer communication skills

-Ideally, technical experience, preferably technical support of electrical equipment

-Electrical engineering qualification

-Be an excellent team player

-Flexible with working hours (as tasks will be arranged to suit customer needs)

-Expert in IT skills, including (Microsoft office suite, excel and word)

-A valid UK driver’s license is a mandatory requirement
