Structural Engineer Permanent

Structural Engineer required to support the construction industry in bringing new technologies to the industry through testing and analysing of new and historic structures.

The team operate bespoke tests to validate the design performance of structural elements

The successful engineer will work with clients, design teams, and research partners to design and deliver practical engineering solutions.

responsibilities include:

* Liaising with clients from tender to final reporting stage
* Developing client’s needs; with design specifications/codes and standards for testing and research work,
* supervising the design and build of routine and bespoke test to ensure safety and robust technical outcomes,
* post-processing, reporting and interpreting test data.
* preparing proposals and technical reports.

Essential:

At least 3 years’ experience as a Structural Design Engineer with steel and concrete.
* Solid understanding of structural principles and able to prepare calculations by hand,.
* Project management experience
* Good problem-solving ability
* Proven record of delivering results to time, budget and quality.
* Experience of working with both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues
