Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Contract

Here at Destination Education we are currently looking for a caring, compassionate and patient individual to fill the role of a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in an ‘outstanding’ OFSTED inspected Post-16 college based in Enfield, North London. This is a September start role, available on either a part-time or full-time basis.

This purpose built college is the first of its kind in North London and has a vast variety of incredible facilities, such as; a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, sports hall, physiotherapy facilities, art and crafts rooms and much more. All of which help support students in realising their potential.

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

* Help maintain an engaging and stimulating environment for students
* Work in groups or 1:1 with students that require extra support
* Aide teachers with appropriate lesson planning to meet all student needs
* Observe and report back to teachers on students’ progress

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Requirements:

* Caring, compassionate and patient individual
* Previous experience in a role supporting young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities
* Will be able to build and maintain successful relationships with students and staff; treating them with respect and consideration
