Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor with ideally five or more years’ experience to work within their cost management team based in Epping. This role would give you the opportunity to work for an independent consultancy that was recognised for being in the top 20 property and construction consultancies in the UK.

The role will be primarily based in their Epping office, but will require frequent travel to meet the demands of the projects. However this organisation will be very accommodating with hybrid working for one to two days per week.

Senior Quantity Surveyor duties will include..

* Preparing budget estimates/cost plans
* Preparing bills of quantities
* Preparing tender documents
* Tender evaluation and report
* Interim valuations
* Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor’s claims
* Effective variation control
* Reporting direct to clients including presentations

This Senior Quantity Surveyor will have …

* MRICS of equivalent level qualification
* Degree qualified
* Good IT literacy, particularly in respect of preparing spreadsheets
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at a high technical level with clients, members of the design team, other professionals in the industry, and contractors in all written communication
* Capable of working to specific targets and timescales
* A considered approach to negotiations with contractors
