Senior Construction Manager

Based in Central London, this contractor work within the commercial, media and data centre sectors on projects from £10 million to £100 million. They are currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager / Site Manager to support a Project Manager within their Major Project team.

Requirements

Skills and Experience
* Previous experience of successfully carrying out similar roles to a high quality. 5 years’ management experience in construction industry (Minimum)
* Comprehensive awareness of health & safety, CDM and environmental legislation and good practice
* General knowledge of contracts
* General knowledge of IT (MS Office)
* Experienced in running effective and productive meetings with a range of key stakeholders, internal and external
* Excellent time management and organisational skills

Qualifications
* Recognised qualification, preferably in construction management, structural or civil engineering.
* HNC in Construction / Building (Minimum)
* BSc / NVQ 5 (Preferred)
* MCIOB (Preferred)
* CSCS Contract Manager’s Card

Person Specification
* Evidence of strong interpersonal and people management skills are essential
* Good customer relationship skills
* Ability to communicate positively and effectively
* Strong technical knowledge, including building services
* Extensive knowledge and awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures, practices and legislation
* Commercial awareness, understanding and ability to maximise profit whilst retaining relationships and company values
