Quantity Surveyor / Project Monitor
West London
Our Client is a small yet highly accomplished real-estate consultancy based in Notting Hill London. They have developed two of London’s newest hotel private members clubs and their projects have Included monitoring Europe’s largest ‘co-living’ development, a pioneering modular development of 300 units to name a few!
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience of at least
3-5 years looking to develop their career as a Project Monitor Surveyor with Development Management and QS exposure on commercial and residential developments.
The projects are predominately located in London, with contract values ranging from £15m to £100m construction cost.
You will be working in a small, cohesive team and reporting to the Director of Development and Project Monitoring.
The role includes:
* Supporting the writing of initial reports including review and commentary on development budget, suitability of development team, programme, insurances and building contract.
* Producing interim construction monitoring reports and certification of funding requests.
* Providing development management support within the development management team.
* Attending site progress meetings of on-going projects, undertaking traditional valuations, identifying any cost and programme risk to the overall success of the development.
* General QS support on developments pre-contract/delivery stage.

Ideal candidate attributes
* RICS chartered Quantity Surveyor (ideal, but not essential).
* Good report writing and client facing skills.
* Able to multi-task, prioritise and balance numerous activities and demands, in short time periods/deadlines.
* Contract administration experience.
* Good all-round knowledge of the construction processes and working knowledge of JCT Building Contracts.
