Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civil Engineering – Manchester – Up to £55k plus package – call me for more information 07980 006 436

My client are a medium sized civil engineering contractor based in Manchester. The main works for this contractor consist of road and groundwork projects, general civil engineering projects such as roads and bridges, highway and structure projects.
This is an office based role with site visits. The office is in Manchester and the sites are in the North West area (Manchester / Lancashire and Liverpool) areas.

Ideal candidate’s essential job skills requirements will be:

Subcontracting groundworks background

A wide range of civil engineering project experience as a project Quantity Surveyor

NEC Contract knowledge

Strong forecasting experience

Strong Excel Knowledge

Compiled and administered NEC subcontract contracts previously (Strong understanding of this).

Strong contract knowledge

Duties

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

Undertaking costs analysis

Providing advice on contractual claims

Assisting in establishing a clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies

Performing risk and value management and cost control

Advising on procurement strategy

Preparing and analysing costing for tenders

Allocating work to subcontractors

Salary
£35,000 – £55,000
