HEAD OF LAND – NEWCASTLE

I am currently working with a large, well known and well respected housing developer who specialize in affordable housing, student accommodation, R&M and responsive repairs. They are looking for a Head of Land to join their busy team in Newcastle. They work in close partnership with local authorities, private sector funders and land owners to deliver thousands of new homes every year.

The ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of the North East area. This is not a strategic role, I need somebody who is immediate land focused and has the contacts and local authority knowledge to hit the ground running. A proven and solid history in a similar role is also essential and the client will look at candidates wanting to take a step up from Senior Land Manager or similar level.

Key Role Requirements

To identify and secure land within the operational region
To deliver the regional business plan as a member of the Senior Management team
Excellent financial and commercial acumen
Able to manage effectively across functional teams
Able to prioritize, organize, multi task and have good time management skills

The right candidate will also be team and customer focused, motivated and enthusiastic, have strong negotiation skills, be a good communicator and have excellent leadership skills.
