Design Manager

Freelance Design Manager required for long term contract based in central Manchester.

Working for a large national main contractor, you will be working a number of projects based around the northwest.

Most work will be managing projects already on site, as such you will be Managing the design team, the design development process and the interface with specialist sub-contract design.
You will be Co-ordinating the whole design process and working closely with the client, employers representatives, design team and legislative bodies.

It is important to have a good understanding of 3D Design and BIM Technology. You will be preparing progress reports, and . Organising and chairing design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and sub-contractors and ensuring that design risk assessments are produced.

Ideally you will have experience of working on both Single and Two Stage Procurement routes.
A degree qualification or equivalent and CIOB or equivalent would be ideal.

Projects on site at present are varied, including Healthcare, Education and Industrial projects.

There is an immediate start available for a suitable candidate, and the role will be ongoing as the order book is looking healthy for 2020 & 2021.
