Contracts Manager Up to £65’000 per annum
Working closely with a large contractor, I am now looking for a Contracts Manager with extensive civil engineering and construction experience to join their team to work throughout the UK. As the successful candidate, you will be reporting to the Regional Director and will be responsible for the management of a wide variety of projects from the start through to completion. They will be required to lead, manage and coordinate projects to ensure that health and safety, environmental, quality design, procurement, and site operations are managed and executed to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively as part of their role to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as required by the demands of this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage, plan and co-ordinate the site operations in relation to labour, materials, transport, plant and contracted services to meet the programme of work and contracted/statutory obligations
In accordance with corporate responsibility for the business, work effectively to support the Senior Management team and take a ‘Company’ perspective to managing issues.
Ensure implementation and compliance with company Operating Procedures to maintain consistency.
Lead teams to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled, maximum revenue generation and contribution to the Company’s operating profit
Make sound, evidence based decisions, assessing risks and identifying opportunities.
Prepare and present monthly reports as required to internal and external stakeholders.
Engage with bid teams providing technical and commercial input to support winning bid strategy.
Ensure that robust construction sequence, programme and methodologies are developed for projects supporting bid teams in establishing realistic, efficient prelim. Requirements.
Lead and promote focus review process ensuring completion of the same to the standards required by the company
Manage, coach and develop the team to ensure they provide an increasingly high-quality
service. Including providing direction and leadership to deliver planned growth, development,
recruitment, training and mentoring of staff.
You will hold a degree in civil engineering or construction management, RICS, CIOB or equivalent, along with CSCS or SMSTS, and a full clean driving licence.
