Contracts Manager £65’000 per annum
working closely with my client, I am looking for a Contracts Manager with civil engineering, utilities and construction experience to join their team in the Greater Manchester office. As the successful candidate you will be able to efficiently source, organise, plan and allocate resources, and be responsible for projects throughout mainland UK, with requirement to visit sites on a regular basis, with occasional overnight stays if necessary.
Other notable responsibilities of role:
Financially aware, detailed financial monitoring and reporting
Able to keep accurate records of project costs.
Able to prepare Payment Applications & evaluate works undertaken.
Understanding of contract conditions (NEC 3, etc.)
Assess and recover additional / extra works. Resolve any disputes
Combine costs / valuation information to monitor profit margins
Experience in utilities sector beneficial, but not essential, alternative experience in drainage, road construction/ maintenance, groundworks / civils would be ideal.
HV cable installation experience would be a significant benefit.
Working knowledge of New Roads & Streetworks, experience in trench excavations (in fields and highways) and backfill / reinstatement. Ideally degree-qualified (preferably in Civil Engineering), min. 5 years site experience, with previous experience in this type of management role. Conversant with current Health, Safety and Environmental procedures / systems of work
